Timber floor joists in progress

My workers have been installing the timber floor joists for the last few days. It is almost 60% completed. One of my readers asked me why I am using kelat for the 1st. Floor. The reason is the the Ground Floor is not a nesting area and thus it is not necessary to use red meranti. Besides kelat is slightly cheaper and harder than red meranti.

KL,

Yes, the floor board/slab will sit on the nesting planks.

Correct me if I m wrong.
If u install the nesting planks which act as formwork for floor slab, the concrete debris or odour will affect the planks, right?
Why are u not installing the nesting planks only after the floor slab is done.

KL,

I am using cement board which is a dry construction. There won't be any concrete debris or odour. For the roof I will place a thinner cement board which act as the permanent formwork. On top of the cement board will be a layer of aluminium bubble foil insulation and 2" concrete reinforced with a layer of steel mesh fabric.
